Saab 92.001 1947
In 1945, Saab decided to venture outside its aeronautical engineering operations and manufacture cars. The handmade prototype - Saab 92.001 - was ready in 1946 and shown to the press and public the following year. Saab´s characteristic traits were there from the start - front-wheel drive and good aerodynamic lines. The prototype, used for road-testing, is in original condition and has never been restored.
