There are no official fuel certification for E85. Therefore the figures is based on petrol consumption. E85 consumes around 30% more fuel than petrol. By being mostly renewable, E85 helps reduce CO2 being added to the atmoshere because significant amounts of CO2 are absorbed by the plant source during its growth cycle.
